EA strongly advises that you retain an attorney to ensure you are operating your Edible® Business in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations (including without limitation, employment, health, OSHA and tax requirements). You should also retain an attorney to review all agreements, documents, and financial information prior to opening your store and for the duration of the operation of your Edible® location. Please note that EA and its representatives cannot provide you with legal advice. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you operate your Edible® Business in accordance with applicable laws.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of the documents you should review with an attorney:
- The franchise agreement and Franchise Disclosure Document ("FDD");
- The lease; and
- Any other agreements with EA and its affiliates, vendors, landlords, etc.
In addition, your attorney should assist you in ensuring that your Edible® Business is operated in compliance with applicable laws.
