A trade area analysis is a technique created to help business owners track and record all local businesses and organizations within a 3-5 mile radius (1-5 walking blocks for Edible to Go stores) of their location. This is an important procedure that should be practiced by all Edible franchisees. A trade area analysis should be done on an annual basis. Once the trade area analysis form is complete, you will have a better idea of businesses and organizations in the area that are potential competition and/or business partners. From this, marketing plans, local partnerships, business to business gifting accounts, and other opportunities can be pursued.
