Local partnerships are business relationships that are built between you and other businesses or organizations in your local trade area. These can be with local gyms, chapters of charitable organizations, kids’ fitness centers, etc. Refer to the seasonal playbooks for timely suggestions for localized partnerships.
Community Events
Your Edible® store is a local business and good standing in the community can be an asset to you. Your active participation in the community can generate business for your store and establish relationships with future customers. Participate in community activities, such as service organizations, and get involved with community development programs and charity events. Maintaining a healthy, positive image in the community is another means of promoting your Edible® store.
Edible strongly believes in the importance of your participation in the community in order drive awareness of your store and store traffic & sales. You must be systematic about your approach to community involvement or you may find yourself overwhelmed with requests. You will receive many calls from involved members of the community soliciting your donation or participation in events. If your participation is requested, consider whether you have the time and resources available to fulfill that commitment
Here are some additional ideas for participation in your community:
- Sponsor local children's sports teams (soccer, softball, etc.).
- Place an ad in the high-school play program.
- Join the Chamber of Commerce, the Welcome Wagon, and other worthwhile business organizations in your community.
Set a threshold for the number of arrangements you will donate each month (we suggest 2-4 per month). Make sure you select events that will target a large number of potential customers. If you are solicited by a party that you are not interested in, you can simply say that you have already committed to the maximum number of donations this month, quarter etc., and ask them to contact you again at another time.
