Resale of exiting Store Policy
Franchisees desiring to sell their existing Edible® locations must communicate this intention By completing the Resale link Resale Request Form The franchisee will then be contacted by the Franchise Sales Department to discuss the decision to sell and the next steps.
Sales Assistance Agreement
The selling franchisee may elect to use the EA =Franchise Sales Department to sell the location. This option requires franchisees to sign the Sales Assistance Agreement. This requires a $2500 deposit which will be applied towards the $10,000 dollar transfer fee (the remaining balance of $7500 due at sale of store) EA will list the store as an “Immediate Opportunity” on the franchise sale website, consult the existing pool of applicants for leads, screen applicants attending Discovery Day for interest and any other means EA deems necessary to sell the location.
The selling franchisee must submit wired funds in an amount equal to half the transfer fee due under the franchise agreement with the Sales Assistance Agreement as a deposit. A Sales Assistance Agreement will not go into effect unless and until this deposit is received. This deposit is not refundable.
The EA Franchise Sales Department will then begin notifying you in writing when approved prospects are interested in the purchase of your location.
Selling without the Sales Assistance Agreement
If you decide not to execute the Sales Assistance Agreement but still wish to sell your location, you must notify the Edible franchise department by sending an email to transfers@edible.com. All candidates for the purchase of your store MUST adhere to the application process, and meet all requirements and qualifications required by EA prior and after to signing any legal documents with the new prospect. You also must comply with all conditions stated in your franchise agreement. Any marketing you do for your store must be approved by the EA Marketing Department prior to placement.
